Tour day-by-day
Day 1: Perth: Spend a day exploring Perth, set on the banks of the sparkling Swan River, a few miles from the magnificent beaches of the Indian Ocean. The closest is City Beach, but Cottesloe, Floreat, Scarborough, and Sorrento are also popular. Nearby outdoor activities include Kings Park with its walking trails and a 12-hectare botanical garden, famous for its spring wildflower displays. Fremantle, 18 kilometres south-west of Perth is a colourful, busy port at the mouth of the Swan River, easily accessible by bus, train, ferry and taxi. Attractions include the Fremantle Arts Centre, the Maritime Museum, the Round House, the market and the lively town centre affectionately known as the cappuccino strip.

Day 2: Sal Salis. Transfer to Perth airport for the flight to Learmonth. On arrival, transfer by road to Sal Salis, home for the next three nights.

Day 3: Sal Salis. Spend the day enjoying the blissful beachside bush camp at Sal Salis within the Cape Range National Park. Relax in your tent’s hammock with a book. Laze on the beach and let any worries float away. Kayak, paddle board and snorkel just off your camp, with more than 500 species of colourful fish and 250 coral types. You can do as much or as little as you wish.

Day 4: Deluxe Whaleshark Swim. (March to August) You will have the opportunity to swim with the Whaleshark, one of the world’s greatest interactive marine encounters. Instruction will be given on how to best approach and swim with the Whale Sharks, so that the encounter with the world’s largest fish is a truly memorable one. At least one guide will be in the water with guests at all times during the swim. Throughout the day the on-board marine biologist will share interesting information about the Whale Sharks, how to identify the gender of the animal, typical behaviours, feeding patterns, how to take photos and more.
Deluxe Megafauna Swim (August - late October) A staggering 40,000 west coast Humpback Whales migrate through the Exmouth and Ningaloo region and start to rest after their long migration from the Antarctic. Mothers will typically move their calves into the Gulf area at Exmouth over these months, to fatten them up for their lengthy return journey south.
Exmouth Dive & Whalesharks Ningaloo have been given the authority to provide guided swims with these amazing creatures along with Whale Sharks under strict parameters and conditions. A small group of just seven guests heads out with a guide & videographer to record one of the most special intimate encounters of the ocean. Following this, enjoy a snorkel on the reef to enjoy the amazing tropical fish, rays, turtles and corals.

Day 5: Transfer to Exmouth and Learmonth Airport for your flight to Perth and take your private transfer to Cape Lodge in the Margaret River.

Day 7: Margaret River. After boarding your luxurious and spacious vessel mid-morning or mid-afternoon, your passionate and expert crew will commence an exciting and informative presentation, delving into the biology and ecology of the great whales that are migrating through the area, as well as information about the other marine and birdlife that visitors are likely to encounter.
From mid-May to mid-August, the picturesque seaside town of Augusta is one of the best locations in Australia to view Humpback Whales as they make their epic migration north, filling the beautiful Flinders Bay area. From mid-August to late November, you can experience the southern migration of the great whales from Dunsborough, with many mothers in tow with their calves. From this region, the whales return to the feeding grounds of Antarctica, with the opportunity to spot massive Blue Whales in the calm waters of Geographe Bay, as they too head south. Aside from the incredible whale encounters, you may also spot Long-nosed Fur Seals, White- bellied Sea-Eagles, Ospreys, petrels, shearwaters, Australasian Gannets and dolphins.

Day 8: Checkout in the morning and take a private transfer to Perth Airport for your flight to Adelaide.

Day 9: North Coast and Seal Bay. Upon arrival into Kingscote mid-morning, your guide will meet you and outline your private island adventure. The day starts with the exploration of Kangaroo Island's prime farming regions, where, depending on the season, you can see sheep, cattle, and various grains while exploring the island's mix of natural and productive landscapes. At Lathami Conservation Park, take a guided walk through the bush to discover the local wildlife and learn about the sounds, tracks, and markings left behind by animals. Search for wallabies, unique to the island, and observe the distinctive Australian birds, plants, and animals.
Next, visit Stokes Bay, known for its hidden beach and local fishing spots where families catch a variety of delicious sea fish. Enjoy a barbecue lunch at a private bush camp on the "Ellamatta" sheep stud, featuring King George whiting, grilled halloumi, fresh salads, and local wines. Continue to Seal Bay for a private tour of the Australian Sea-lion colony. Watch sea-lions rest and interact, and look for pups, young males, and dominant bulls. Journey west for the much-anticipated arrival at Southern Ocean Lodge.

Day 10: Southern Ocean Lodge. Relax and enjoy Southern Ocean Lodge. Recommendations include a spa treatment, a guided clifftop walk and a lazy afternoon watching the Southern Ocean swells roll in. Don't miss Southern Sundowners, one of the Signature Experiences included in all bookings. Here, you will enjoy a range of premium beverages and snacks while watching Kangaroo Island kangaroos grazing in the late afternoon sun. Another great experience is the evening Nocturnal Tour where you'll see even more of Kangaroo Island's wildlife becoming active.

Day 11: West Coast and North Coast. Upon checkout, it's time for your North Coast Departure, via Flinders Chase National Park. However, should you have opted to join SOL's included Wonders of KI tour during your stay, your itinerary will be amended. Visit Remarkable Rocks, a massive natural sculpture perched impossibly on top of a granite dome plunging into the ocean and continue to Admirals Arch – a coastal grotto that is home to a large colony of long-nosed fur seals that swim effortlessly through crashing waves.
Next, break for an elegant picnic lunch in the bush, on a spectacular clifftop. Lunch features marinated poached chicken, fresh salads, and cheeses accompanied by local wines, beer, soft drinks and spring water. After lunch, exit the National Park and visit a local woodturner, Jonny Gloyne. Explore Johnny's beautiful range of handmade wood products, including his famous pepper grinders. En route to the airport, if time allows, stop for a departure drink. Choose from premium wines at Islander Estate Vineyards, or a gin flight at Kangaroo Island Distillery, Australia's first contemporary gin producer. Fly from Kingscote to Adelaide and upon arrival, be transferred by private vehicle to The Louise in the Barossa.
