Day 4: (March to August) You will have the opportunity to swim with the Whaleshark, one of the world’s greatest interactive marine encounters. Instruction will be given on how to best approach and swim with the Whale Sharks, so that the encounter with the world’s largest fish is a truly memorable one. At least one guide will be in the water with guests at all times during the swim. Throughout the day the on-board marine biologist will share interesting information about the Whale Sharks, how to identify the gender of the animal, typical behaviours, feeding patterns, how to take photos and more.
(August - late October) A staggering 30,000 west coast Humpback Whales migrate through the Exmouth and Ningaloo region and start to rest after their long migration from the Antarctic. Mothers will typically move their calves into the Gulf area at Exmouth over these months, to fatten them up for their lengthy return journey south.
Exmouth Dive & Whalesharks Ningaloo have been given authority to provide guided swims with these amazing creatures under strict parameters and conditions, and today you will join them. A small group of just seven guests heads out with a guide & videographer to record one of the most special intimate encounters of the ocean. Following this, enjoy a snorkel on the reef to enjoy the amazing tropical fish, rays, turtles and corals.
Day 5: A day to relax and take in all that is Sal Salis. Relax in your tent’s hammock with a book. Laze on the beach and let any worries float away. Kayak, paddle board and snorkel just off your camp, with more than 500 species of colorful fish and 250 coral types. You can do as much or as little as you wish.
Day 6: Transfer back to Learmonth airport for your flight to Perth where you will enjoy another night in this beautiful city lying on the Swan River.
Day 7: This morning, collect your rental car and Drive to the Margaret River area for your three night stay.
Day 8: Drive to Busselton or Dunsborough to join a whale watch excursion. Naturaliste Charters are the longest running whale watching company in the Southwest and have been operating professional whale watching tours out of the region for more than 25 years. Their whale watching tours provide visitors with the opportunity to view Humpback Whales and Southern Right Whales, on both their northern and southern migrations. As you watch these majestic creatures breach and frolic, you will truly be mesmerized by their agility.
Day 9: Day at Leisure. Originally a chilled out surfie town, Margaret River has evolved into the ultimate smorgasbord of good food, fine wine and spectacular scenery - just a three-and-a-half hour drive south of Perth. There's a fine supply of world-class wineries, boutique breweries, and restaurants overlooking sweeping vineyards and surf breaks. The wine is definitely top notch - the region produces less than one per cent of Australian wine, but over 15 per cent of the country's premium wine. And with 60 plus wineries to choose from, you won't be stuck for choice.
Day 10: Return to Perth and drop off your rental car, overnight stay.
