Itinerary

Tour day-by-day

  • Cairns & Port Douglas

    Day 1: On arrival at Cairns Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Port Douglas for a four-night stay. The remainder of your day is free to explore the village of Port Douglas or perhaps relax by the pool or on the beach.

    Day 2: Cruise out the Great Barrier Reef for a day of snorkelling, swimming or perhaps an optional introductory dive. Visit two exclusive locations where you see superb coral formations and an abundance of marine life including inquisitive fish, turtles, stingrays and friendly Maori Wrasse. There are hot fresh showers onboard and detailed snorkel and dive briefings available. Morning and afternoon tea included as well as a tropical buffet lunch.

    Day 3: Your morning is free until joining a mid-afternoon tour that takes you in to the ‘Oldest continually growing rainforest in the world, the Daintree with FNQ Nature Tours. Enjoy a two-hour cruise in a solar electric boat down the Daintree River to observe and photograph some of the primitive forms of animal and plant life in the world. Spend some time at Cape Tribulation before traveling into the rainforest for dinner. Talk a guided walk through the rainforest searching for local wildlife that have adopted a nocturnal lifestyle due to the heat of the day. A unique experience!

    Day 4: A free day to explore or relax in Port Douglas or perhaps take an optional tour.

  • Uluru & the Red Centre

    Day 5: Transfer to Cairns Airport for your flight to Ayers Rock (not included). On arrival, transfer to your accommodation for a two-night stay. This afternoon, join a fun dot art experience provided by local Anangu artists and hosts, and learn about traditional Aboriginal art and ancient symbols and create your own work of art to take home as a memento. This evening experience A Night in the Field of Light. With Uluru as a backdrop enjoy canapes and chilled sparkling wine to the sounds of a didgeridoo, an indigenous performance, followed by dinner and time to walk through the glass installations.

    Day 6: Before dawn, experience the tranquillity of the desert as the sun rises over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Listen as your guide introduces you to the natural and cultural landscapes of the region. Enjoy breakfast before joining a guided short walk to the Mutitjulu waterhole. View the rock paintings and hear about the creation period told by the Anangu guide before traveling to the Cultural Centre. Return to the resort before joining an afternoon tour of Kata Tjuta where you can walk through the Gorge between the mighty conglomerate domes and hear how the domes of Kata Tjuta have evolved over millions of years.

  • Sydney & Southern Highlands

    Day 7: This morning is free before transferring to Ayers Rock Airport for your flight to Sydney (not included). On arrival, transfer to your accommodation for a three-night stay.

    Day 8: For a 360-degree view of Sydney’s stunning harbor and skyline, this morning, climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. After a brief safety check, harness in and join your guided as you climb to the summit of the bridge for panoramic views. Make your way to the Sydney Opera House for an incredible journey, starting the day with a guided tour of the World Heritage-listed building. After your tour, indulge like a local Sydneysider with a choice of Australian inspired mains at Opera Bar with some of the best harbour views in Sydney, offering alfresco and indoor seating.

    Day 9: After a laze in, travel to the Southern Highlands with Boutique Wildlife Tours, located 90-minutes south of Sydney for an afternoon and evening of exceptional wildlife viewing. With onboard field guides, binoculars, spotlights, and TV/DVD, enjoy the ultimate Australian wildlife experience and go in search of Australia's iconic animals and birds in a noon till evening day and night-spotting tour. See kangaroos, and wombats from the vehicle, walk through towering forests of Grey Gums in search of koalas, and follow riverbanks in search of platypus.

    Day 10: Transfer to Sydney Airport for your onward flight arrangements.
